Frequently Asked questions

How are NutriRise ACV capsules made?
We begin by acquiring and testing the best apples, ensuring they're free of harmful chemicals and anything else that shouldn't be there. Next, the extracted juice is concentrated before double-fermenting it to create tart raw apple cider vinegar. The product is then dried, allowing all the water to evaporate, leaving behind a dry powder. At this point, we test again for potency and purity. The dried powder is ground and mixed with l-leucine, a branch chain amino acid added for improved digestion and absorption, and we test again. Finally, we encapsulate the apple cider vinegar powder into vegetable capsules, bottle, and label. We focus on quality and supplying the highest level of apple cider vinegar for our customers from start to finish.

Are ACV capsules better for my teeth than liquid ACV?
Yes! Our ACV capsules contain all of the beneficial properties of ACV, including the acetic acid content. However, because our ACV is dried and encapsulated, it completely bypasses your tooth enamel and does not dissolve until ingested.

Are your capsules made with Non-GMO apples?
Yes! We make our Apple Cider Vinegar capsules from the highest quality, non-GMO apples. There are several types of apples genetically modified in the United States not to turn brown when cut. The problem with genetically modified foods is their long-term safety hasn’t been thoroughly evaluated due to their brief time on the market. We avoid the risk and use only non-GMO apples for our apple cider vinegar. We feel this is the safest choice for you, our customer!

What are the side effects of taking ACV capsules?
Apple Cider Vinegar capsules are generally tolerated much better than liquid ACV. Excessive doses may cause issues with acid reflux which will cause throat irritation. Some people may experience an upset stomach or low potassium levels. Check your blood sugar levels carefully and talk to your doctor about adjusting medications to prevent hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). If you experience any of these symptoms, discontinue use and consult with your doctor. You should always consult your primary physician before taking supplements if you have any medical condition or daily medication.

Does apple cider vinegar help reduce belly fat?
Yes! A 2016 clinical research study found that the acetic acid in ACV reduced fat stored in the liver and effectively decreased abdominal fat storage! Belly fat is the most dangerous fat in the body because it’s linked to a higher incidence of cardiovascular disease. In another study, participants receiving acetic acid had lower body fat levels and less fat deposited in the liver than the placebo group.

How long does it take for ACV to start working?
It depends on the reason that you’re taking Apple cider vinegar supplements. It may only take a day or two for benefits such as appetite suppression and blood sugar regulation. However, benefits such as weight loss and body fat reduction may take over a month to notice results. Clinical research trials studying the effectiveness of ACV on these issues lasted about three months on average.

Should I take ACV capsules before or after a meal?
ACV capsules can help with appetite suppression, enhance digestion, and help balance blood sugar levels. For these benefits, it’s essential to take each dose 20-30 minutes BEFORE a meal for best results. Taking ACV close to meals or with a meal can reduce the potential of stomach upset you may experience by taking it on an empty stomach and not eating soon after. If you experience any digestive upset from taking it on an empty stomach, time your dose closer to a meal to prevent it from sitting on an empty stomach for long periods.

Why does apple cider vinegar help you lose weight?

ACV is unique when it comes to weight loss. It works in four ways to help you reach your goal weight faster. First, it boosts your metabolism by activating an enzyme called AMPK in your liver. This enzyme is the “master regulator of energy metabolism.” In essence, it serves as an energy sensor within each cell, and as we age, it becomes less and less active.

Second, ACV helps support balanced glucose levels, which ramps up your fat-burning ability. High insulin levels suppress fat burning. Apple cider vinegar is proven to reduce insulin levels in study participants.

Third, acetic acid in ACV is proven to reduce your body’s ability to store fat, including in your liver. Interestingly, in these studies, participants ate a high-fat diet and still experienced improvements in their body fat.

Finally, ACV helps suppress your appetite, allowing you to eat less. Acetic acid signals your hypothalamus that you aren’t hungry. It also increases GABA production, which is naturally calming and relieves stress.

Do Apple Cider Vinegar capsules work?
Absolutely! Apple cider vinegar has been used since ancient times for many medicinal purposes. Unfortunately, many people have trouble ingesting this magical liquid because of its pungent taste and smell. We kept all the goodness of organic apple cider vinegar without the frustrating downsides by dehydrating ACV and encapsulating it. ACV capsules have the same acetic acid and probiotics as the liquid, without taste or smell.

Can ACV help with acid reflux or heartburn?
Acid reflux, also known as heartburn, is a condition that occurs when stomach acid flows backward into the esophagus, creating a burning sensation. The circular muscle that sits at the bottom of your esophagus sometimes fails to close completely, allowing for the backflow of stomach contents into the esophagus. Researchers don’t really understand why this happens. One theory suggests that low stomach acid levels cause it to remain open. ACV helps supplement your body’s natural stomach acid production, improving digestion and reducing heartburn symptoms.

Does ACV offer any benefits to the cardiovascular system?
Yes! A Japanese study found that two tablespoons per day lowered triglycerides in test subjects. A 2011 study found that ACV lowered total cholesterol and triglycerides. Researchers believe that the acetic acid content in apple cider vinegar is responsible for lowering these lab values. Lower cholesterol and triglycerides are associated with a decreased risk of heart disease.

Can apple cider vinegar capsules help with blood sugar?
Clinical research studies show promising results in blood sugar level management. A 2008 study found that participants taking apple cider vinegar had significantly lower HbA1C levels. They also experienced lower triglycerides and LDL cholesterol and higher HDL levels. Lower HbA1C levels are significant because this value represents the average blood glucose over time.

Can you take too many ACV capsules?
Too much of anything can be bad for you. Apple cider vinegar capsules contain acetic acid. Taking too many can cause stomach upset, diarrhea, and indigestion. We recommend taking three pills per day and splitting them up, one with each meal.
